Volunteers Required for Multicultural Playgroup

UnitingCare Cutting Edge has recommenced the Multicultural Playgroup this week in The Sacred Space from 10am - 12 noon. The playgroup currently includes families from Somalia, The Congo, Afghanistan and Iraq. We are seeking some committed volunteers who would be willing to assist with transport. A bus does a pickup run starting at 9am and a drop off run at 12 noon.

We need help to:

Assist mothers/carers with their children getting on and off the bus
Make sure children are appropriately restrained in safety seats
Lifting prams and pushers on and off the bus
Checking that families are still coming if they are not waiting outside when the bus arrives.

You would be welcome to stay and assist during the playgroup.  This time would include assisting with food, preparation of craft activities, cleaning and talking to children and parents.

UnitingCare Cutting Edge would arrange your Police Check and Working With Children Check free of charge as these are requirements when any of us are working with children.
